O fundador e director do BDRI, Dr. Bruno Díaz López (Researchgate perfil AQUI), é um cientista com mais de 20 anos de experiência como investigador de cetáceos em todo o mundo. Publicou numerosos artigos científicos em revistas internacionais e deu uma série de palestras públicas sobre investigação e conservação de mamíferos marinhos.
