In addition to the marine research activities, the BDRI undertakes a rigorous educational program. It is actively involved with volunteers, colleges and universities – providing work experience opportunities, internship positions, volunteering, training courses, and university project placements for Bachelors and Masters students throughout the year.

Each year our education programs train students and interested people from all over the world about marine research and the urgent need for marine conservation.

The BDRI's Internships, Volunteeering, Field Courses, and Researcher for a day programs are also an excellent way to become actively involved in the research work and contribute to marine conservation. These programs are run every year between January and December, from the BDRI fieldbase in O Grove, Galicia (Spain).
